Purpose and Legal Basis for Processing Personal Data
The person has registered as a customer of Helsingin Olkain Oy or has purchased products from the Helsingin Olkain Oy online store. The purpose of the register is to maintain Helsingin Olkain Oy’s customer register and to archive and process customer orders.
Personal data necessary for delivering orders and processing payments is collected from users who place orders. Helsingin Olkain Oy has entered into data protection-compliant agreements with transport and payment service providers. For order delivery, the customer’s name, address, and phone number or email address are disclosed to the party responsible for delivery. The register is also used to track lost shipments.
Data may be used for the development of Helsingin Olkain Oy’s operations and for statistical purposes. Personal data is processed within the limits permitted and required by data protection legislation. Data in the register may be used within Helsingin Olkain Oy’s own systems for targeted advertising without disclosing personal data to third parties.

The register is not disclosed to unauthorized parties. Access requires user rights within Helsingin Olkain Oy’s internal network. The register is located on a password-protected server.
Right of Access
The data subject has the right to inspect the data stored about them in Helsingin Olkain Oy’s customer register. Requests must be submitted in writing to the data controller.
Correction and Deletion of Data, Right to Restriction of Processing
- Customers can correct their basic information while logged into the online store. Customers are responsible for the accuracy of their data, and Helsingin Olkain Oy may correct, delete, or supplement data that is incomplete, incorrect, or outdated. The data subject has the right to prohibit the company from using their data for direct marketing and advertising (including market and opinion research) by notifying Helsingin Olkain Oy customer service electronically.
Right to Lodge a Complaint
If you believe that the processing of your personal data does not comply with applicable data protection laws or that your rights have not been adequately ensured, you may file a complaint with the supervisory authority responsible for data protection.
Retention Period of Personal Data
Data is retained for the period required by accounting legislation, after which it is deleted from the register.
Klarna
We use Klarna as the provider of the checkout process. This means that we may transfer your personal data in the form of contact and order details to Klarna when the checkout is loaded, so that Klarna can manage your purchase. Your transferred personal data is processed in accordance with Klarna’s own privacy policy.
